Difference in Taiwan

When I was in Taiwan, it feels a lot like Malaysia, the Chinese, the non-stop eating, the ease in communicating in common language, and the way people behave seems similar, hehe.

Being in different places, we tend to observe & note the difference, so, here are some of the things Iave noticed thru my eyes & points of view:

  • Ratio of maybe 20:1 for high-heels: flats. Hardly I see girls/ladies wearing high-heels, the reason may be that most of them get around by LRT and on foot in the city, hence, can’t afford to pain the feet walking around in heels
  • 7-11 is the most visited store in the city
  • No flushing of toilet paper into the toilet bowl. So, how do we dispose our used toilet paper during business? A dustbin beside the toilet bowl. (eeeewwwwww!)
  • Roads are very messy. I would easily 90% bang into cars from opposite direction if I were to drive there.
  • While crossing roads, cars would have to watch out for us, not us watching out for cars.

Other than that, I guess they are very much just like us =D

I've got a mp3 player

I've gotten myself, ermmm, my blog actually a mp3 player, hehe =D
Added some of my current favourites songs too, feel free to check out those songs. I didn't put on auto mode where it loads by itself once you load the blog, cuz as i've experienced before, it does 3 possible things:
1) it makes you jump from your seat -- if the 1st song it loads is a loud one (haha!), suprise
2) it's annoying -- when some prefer total silence while reading the blog entries
3) it makes you feel good, happy, relax -- you know, nice songs at d background while you're reading
4) good songs are shared

So, there you go =)

Exaggerated Comics

A friend of my mine shared a link with me, I enjoyed some of those comics, I was thinking of sharing one of them which i found it true yet funny, but it would be stealing since there is no sharing tab from there.

So, check them out ! I like the Lego one, haha!

New Layout

Yeay~ finally done changing a new layout after thinking of doing it for so loong, since the beginning of the year i think, hehe =P
The wooden background feels like a wooden table where i can write on, yes ?
Kinda feels good not to have so many things on the page =)

Grateful and Appreciative

There was once I saw in a Discovery magazine, they took pictures of families from different countries and the food each family consume in one week. One picture per family, all the food was displayed on the table or chairs around them and they took the picture. It was interesting to see how each family/country has their own preference and distinctive difference.

For americans - a few bottles of coke per week, cheese, bread, as usual, for middle eastern family, rice, meat...etc, for chinese, suprisingly mostly vegetable and rice, so little meat. As I read through the pages, I was imagining myself in the way they live and eat.

As I flipping and reading, when I reach the last page, it was a picture of a family in africa, I was in disbelief seeing how little it was displayed. With a family of one mother, two teenagers, 3 small kids, the food for one week is only two half full packets of beans or flour (size of the small rice pack sold in kedai runcit), 10 small packets of dried food (ikan bilis, dried chili,beans,...) and half ounce of water bottle. That's ALL !

For us, we can go out at anytime, anywhere to get food, not just food, but good food; not just good food, but cheap food; not just get full, but more than enough; not just more than enough but throw them away..... They don't even have meat, we can eat KFC and emperor chicken anytime as much as we want.

I'm now starting to appreciate all that I have, especially food, makan makan !
